Neighbourhood Development Plan approved for submission to Warwick District Council

After a series of revisions and delays resulting from the suspension of the WDC Local Plan, we have now brought the Neighbourhood Development Plan to the point where it is ready for formal submission to the District Council.  The main changes that we have had to make result from the decision by the Warwickshire Police Authority to vacate their Woodcote HQ site completely and to sell it for development.  This decision allowed WDC to include the additional land into their amendments to the Local Plan and to significantly increase the number of proposed new dwellings in Leek Wootton.  The Parish Council has necessarily reacted to this with its own proposals which are incorporated in the latest version of the Plan.

Once approved in principle by the District Council Planning Department, we will move into the formal Regulation 14 Consultation process, covering a period of 8 weeks, when all interested parties will be able to submit their formal comments and representations.  After any further revision, the Plan will then be subject to a referendum by all eligible parishioners.

Chairman
