CALA Homes has formally appealed to the Planning Inspectorate for a judgement by them on the matter of the above outline planning application lodged with Warwick District Council [WDC] at the end of November 2022. The Parish Council understands that the grounds for the CALA appeal are that WDC failed to adjudicate the application within the statutory time period advised by The National Planning Policy Framework. The Parish Council [PC] is attempting to gain an understanding of all the issues involved in the appeal from WDC and its position regarding the appeal.

Some of the key elements of this appeal process are contained on WDC’s panning portal under the above application number and are likely to be updated from time to time.
It is the PC’s understanding that all who commented on the original application should already have, or will shortly, receive notification of the appeal process by WDC (if you commented, but do not receive a letter, please contact Dan Charles on 01926 456527). Previous comments made will be passed to the Inspector, but you will have the opportunity to provide additional comments to the Inspector.
Key to the public process is that any comments made now on the planning application and appeal should be made directly to the Inspector hearing the appeal before 2 June. Representations made after that date will usually not be considered by the Inspector.
A public hearing of the appeal is to start on 25 July and is anticipated to last up to 6 days. The location has yet to be confirmed. A decision by the Inspector is anticipated before 18 September 2023.
The Parish Council, as a statutory consultee to the original application, will be seeking to make representation to the Inspector at the appeal hearing.
